During my 1st pregnancy, I gained 60 pounds!! Yes, double what I should have gained. Luckily with my 2nd pregnancy I’ve had an average weight gain, but I was fortunate enough to lose those 60 pounds before I got pregnant for the second time.

Heaviest WeightSo how did I do it?? I can honestly say it wasn’t a huge life change. It was small things here and there that really made a difference. I have always been the type of person to eat what I want, when I want it! When I have a craving for something, it’s better for me to satisfy that craving and then move on.

If I’m craving a doughnut, I eat a doughnut. If I don’t, I will constantly be trying to get that satisfaction else where i.e overeating meals and eating handfuls of chocolate chips, when all I really needed was one doughnut! The key is satisfying yourself without going over board and eating the whole box of doughnuts!

Healthy-DessertsEating healthier meals is also obviously very important when trying to lose weight. But again, small changes make a BIG difference! It’s okay to eat fries, just bake them in the oven instead of frying them in the deep fryer! Don’t add that extra butter on your bread! Drink some juice instead of a coke! I saw a huge difference by just changing what I drank!LIB StickBitch

I also did some exercising but again I made it fun and not work! I would put Natalie in her stroller and walk around the neighborhood. I also did some P90X videos which were new and different and fun to try!

I believe one of my most helpful things was my blog! I posted my weight publicly EVERY week! It made my accountable. I also participated in the very first Lose It Bitch challenge and won! During the challenge, I lost a total of 18.4 pounds!

Losing weight doesn’t have to be a stressful, unhappy experience. Making small changes to your everyday life can help you lose weight and keep it off!
