I planned on taking these pictures Tuesday when it was sunny beautiful outside. Then our schedules didn’t work out and I ended up taking these yesterday – while it was raining and foggy outside.
In the beginning it was only a light mist, but then it started raining harder and harder. I had to clean my lens and snap a few pictures before having to clean the rain off again!
I’m actually glad it was foggy though. It really made some beautiful pictures!
The first 3 are Straight Out Of the Camera. And the last few are obviously edited. I love the vintage look to the last one. And then the fog and the railroad track just completely set it off!

Awesome pictures! I love the last one, and the one with the fire behind it. Your nephew looks so young! My cousin is a Marine (graduated boot camp in late November), and he has that baby face too. Congrats to your nephew!
Nikki, you are so right, they look so young! He still has a baby face, because he is a baby…well not really, but I’m his mom, so I still think so! 🙂
He will ALWAYS be your baby! 🙂
Soooo true!
I love the pictures on the train tracks, both the black and white, and the sepia toned. One of my dads was a Marine, and I have many friends serving now. Stunning pictures, and all the best to your nephew.
I really LOVE that last one!
The one in front of the fire is exceptional!!! I will be putting my pic/s up tomorrow/later today!
I haven’t done SOOC for a long time. I’m glad I’m back. You have some great shots this week.
What fabulous pictures. Thank you for sharing, and have a great weekend. I can see you’re very proud as you should be.
What great shots and it brings a tear to my eye that someone that looks so young (like 14, but so very handsome) has to go off and fight for our country. My son was also in the Marines. They’re tough on those boys, but they come home men. I agree with Tom you should be very proud you have every right to be. Just wonderful great shots. That one in front of the bonfire gave me sort of a chill, but my favorite is the first one. Have a great weekend. I like you meme. It’s fun.
XmasDolly – you are so right they are tough on those boys!!! So you have a Marine son too?! it’s not the easiest thing…as proud as I am of him, I will admit it’s the most difficult things I’ve ever done! Being a Marine Mom is NOT going to be easy! I already see lots of tears in my future, because they sure are in the present!
I’m only a day late but I linked up. lol I love the pics on the railroad tracks, and the fog really did work out well for the pictures. He looks sharp in his uniform.
Those are great pictures. The fire is very dramatic and I like the foggy ones as well. Very classic!
