Last week I decided to splurge and spend a whopping $12 on a Macro Extension Tube from Amazon! The tube attaches between your camera body and lens for extreme close-up shots.
I don’t have any macro lenses and even though I’ve heard the extension tubes don’t compare to the real thing, I figured spending $12 couldn’t hurt. I can definitely see why the lens would be better but I’ve had it almost a week now and I’m fairly satisfied with the results.
Here’s a few of the shots taken with my extension tube on my 85mm and on the 40mm.

My daughter was also taking pictures. This is her “camera”… She’s old school. You can see all my camera equipment and some other flower shots on this post from last week.

wow, the cat photo is amazing!! What a frugal spurge for great results, you’d have to manually focus right?

Yes you do! It’s sooo hard to get at the perfect focus and hold still at the same time! I almost passed out from holding my breath so long! Haha
Just amazing. 🙂
Marvelous shots!!
Happy WW 🙂
I love the whiskers on the cat up close. Great photos!!!
Wow, the shot of the cat is amazing! I might have to make that $12 spurge myself. Your daughter’s “camera” is priceless! They’re such little copycats aren’t they? 🙂
Haha yes she was copying me earlier today! Walking around behind me and doing everything I did. I leaned down to scratch my foot and she did the same thing! 🙂
I used to have one with my film Canon Camera. That was handy!
I love that your little girl was trying to take pictures all {up close} with her View Finder.
wonderful shots!

That extension tube is great! Fabulous shots! That for hosting.
Do you have a link to the one you choose? Sounds like a great find. Love that first picture (hope you didn’t get too much of a headache while taking the picture – saw your comment about holding your breath)! Also I have to agree with Sara, I adore the “camera” your daughter is carrying around. Always good to start young. 😉
Haha surprisingly the cat was easy to capture once he sat still. I got the “Fotodiox 10-MCR-CN-Kit Canon EOS Macro Extension Tube Set Kit for Extreme Close-Up” it’s $11.95, here’s the link – http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B003Y60DZO/ref=oh_details_o02_s00_i00?ie=UTF8&psc=1
Wow! These are amazing close up shots. Twelve dollars well spent.

What great photos love how your daughter is practicing!! The kitty is cute too! Thanks for stopping by Oh My Heartsie Reviews
Love the cat close-up! The flowers are quite pretty, too.
We’d never heard about this tube before now. Though the photos may not be as crisp, they certainly are beautiful. We popped over here from Sincerely Paula’s WW.
