Last week my dad was diagnosed with Stage 4 Small Cell Lung Cancer and was told he had three months to live.
He was diagnosed with Chronic Lymphocytic Leukemia/Lymphoma (CLL/SLL) back in 2009 so you may have heard me mention my dad on my blog a few times – read his full story here.
We have no idea how long the chemo will extend his life but he will likely need the chemo treatments 4 days in a row followed by a 3 week rest period between each cycle for the rest of his life, or until he is no longer responding to the treatments.
If you have any words of encouragement for him and our family, instead of commenting here, would you please visit the page I set up for him. You can give “hugs” and/or donate funds to help him with medical expenses.
PLEASE help me share his story, it only takes a second to share or hit retweet on my tweet below. I would be truly grateful!
Pls RT.. Send some ? to my dad who is battling Stage 4 Lung Cancer. You can give 'hugs' & read his story here – http://t.co/FB6Vo610gP

How absolutely heartbreaking!! ((((HUGS)))) and big big prayers to him!
You, your dad and your family are in my thoughts and prayers right now. I have retweeted your tweet and am following you now. I also wanted to thank you for linking this up with us at Mommy Blog Hoppers.
Thank you Janine! If you have a tweet you would like retweeted just leave the link to the tweet here. I would be happy to return the favor!
So sorry to hear this. Prayers going up.
I am so sorry to read this. Doctors are not always right. Prayers for you and your family.
Thank you! That’s very true!
I’m so sorry to hear about your dad! He and you are in my prayers.
I’m your latest fan, and while some would say “I’ve come at a bad time” I say I’ve come at just the right time, when you need a prayer, I will visit your fathers page but not before I tell you “Don’t give up” and always have faith.
Thank you so much for visiting and tweeting! If you have a tweet you would like retweeted just leave the link to the tweet here. I would be happy to return the favor!
I am so sorry your family is going through this. With your entire family behind him ready to help him battle hopefully his treatment will go as smoothly as possible.
My heart is broken for you and your family. Praying for strength, patience and peace.
I know first-hand how hard this can be. It’s such a small thing, but I retweeted for you. Blessings.

I’m so sorry about your dad – I’m sending virtual love, and holding him in my heart and prayers x
Hugs to your dad from the Philippines! ;o)
I’m so sorry to hear about your Dad. Best wishes on his treatment. Having lived through a stage 3 cancer just over 10 years ago, I know firsthand that a late-stage cancer diagnosis is so frightening. Best of luck with it all.
I retweeted and will visit his ‘page’ with words of encouragement too, but had to leave a note here also. My Dad has Cutaneous T-Cell Lymphoma and refuses to take chemo. He says he has a better place to go, with mansions and streets of gold, and he’s ready. It’s hard, but he’s had a long full life. I will pray for you and your father. Please pray for mine too. <3
Thank you so much! I saw your comment on the GiveForward page! I know exactly what you mean. My mom wants him to do the treatment, even if it only extends his life one more day. But I do hope at some point he can stop all the treatments and just enjoy the remaining amount of time he has left.
My prayers to you and your family.
Thank you for hosting this great party. Please stop by and join us on our Tuesday Brag About It Party. Link and Hop with BeBetsy

Lots of prayers for you and your dad and family. I pray the chemo works for him for longer than the doctors ever predicted.
I’m so sorry about your Dad. Big hugs to you and your family.
Sending lots of prayers to you and your family.
Wishing you and your family all the best, my prayers are with you all. Thanks for stopping by Oh My Heartsie Girl to link up this weekend. Karren
