I started teaching my kids to cook at a very young age. Cooking builds self esteem. Kids learn math skills like sorting and fractions. They learn to work together and many other important skills like healthier eating habits.

My girls love to help me in the kitchen with even the smallest task. My 5 year old daughter can just about bake an entire cake on her own. Seriously.

I try to involve them as much as possible while keeping them away from hot cooktops and sharp knives. They are always more open to trying new foods when they’ve helped prepare it!

Here’s a great kid friendly recipe that everyone will love!
