Welcome to Project 52.
One theme, one photo, once a week. Simple.
This week was challenging. I’ve never taken a long exposure shot before, and I don’t normally shoot landscapes. This is why I love doing the Project 52. It forces me to pick up my camera and try new things!

My favorite photo from last week is from my co-host Sarah! Check out her beautiful praying mantis photo! I love the angle and the bokeh in the background.

Love that picture! I was in the same boat. I do not really have any streams or anything to take pictures of, or even traffic lol. I have cornfields. I wonder how they would look in a long exposure night shot.
Oh so pretty! Love it. I really need to pick up my DSLR more! I thought this project would inspire me, but i just having had the motivation!
oh my gosh Amy!
Amazing!
I looked up the directions on how to do a long exposure, but never had the chance to try anything. 🙁 I still plan to learn it though, soon!
You’ve definitely gotta try it! It was fun. I started with my aperture around f/8, since I normally like to shoot wide open, but I really liked how the lights looked at f/22. Use a tripod, take lots of photos, and change your settings around for different effects.
