I successfully completed a 365 photography challenge in 2014!! I took a photo every single day for an ENTIRE year.
In 2015, I decided “ain’t nobody got time fo that” and I completed a themed Project 52 challenge – one photo per week, each week has a theme. Easier, but still challenging.
Now here we are in 2016, this year has already been off to a rough start with my dad passing, and everything that comes with it. Posting every single photo and having a theme wasn’t working for me.
I am still taking a photo every day for the whole year. But, I am going to make life easier and ONLY post my favorites that stood out each month.
Here are 7 of my personal favorites from January 2016:
January 22, 2016 – Haley sledding down the front yard.

How awesome that you completed the Project 52 challenge. All of the pictures are great and I love Batman.
This is a really beautiful set. The burial one is a hard one to share I’m sure, but it is a beautiful moment in its own way. Thank you for sharing.
Amazing images. Congrats on finishing the challenge!
I am sorry for your loss. Your new puppy, Batman, is really cute.
WEll, I commend you on that, most have good intentions, but don’t finish. My niece didn’t, niether did a friend of mine.
Wow, you take great pictures can you come over and take mines. Love this!
Those are such wonderful photos to capture beautiful moments. Thanks for sharing them!
I’m so sorry for the loss of your father. That’s a beautiful and heartbreaking shot of your family by the grave.
Congratulations on Batman! It’s wonderful the joy a new addition can bring to a family. 🙂

I am so very sorry for your loss. The photo of your mom and brother graveside is so hauntingly gorgeous. It is nice to see you had some bright spots this month despite the difficulties too.
Oh wow what amazing and powerful photos – and only for the first month of the year. I lost my dad last year — sending condolences to you and your family.
What beautiful, and memorable photos too. I love this project and though I take photos of events and for my blog almost daily I need to get more candid shots of daily life.
These are absolutely looks amazing. You complete the picture and it is great
What an incredible mix of emotions you captured! I did my first project 365 a few years ago and I’m glad I did- it got me into the habit of making sure that I take a least one memory a day.
You’ve got some amazing pictures. That’s a really candid one of your mom and brother. It’s very sad but also very touching.
Wow, there’s so much emotion wrapped up in these photos. Each is beautiful, but in its own way.
Sending hugs across the interwebs I am so sorry to hear of your Dad’s Passing. He is now an Angel on your shoulder!
Oddly I every year I say I am going to do this and never get around to it. I take shots all the time at events, but rarely do I have time for personal ones lately.
The photo of your mom and brother is just warming and heartbreaking at all the same time. *hugs*
I love that you went with the name of Batman for your new fur baby, it’s perfect!
I am so excited to have you along with us Amy!
