Today is June 6th, exactly one month before my 30th birthday! I still have 10 items on my “30 Before I’m 30” list to complete in the next 30 days!
I have skydiving, zip lining, and white water rafting scheduled for this week! It’s going to be an adventurous month! Follow me on Facebook for more updates!
Writing a letter to myself and saying yes to everything for a day was a lot harder than I had expected. I tried a few times to say yes to everything, but it’s pretty difficult when you have two little kids asking for things like guinea pigs and every single dang fidget spinner we come across!
I’m beyond excited to announce my 30TH BIRTHDAY TRIP!
We are doing a 800 mile road trip through 8 states in 11 days; New York, New Jersey, Connecticut, Rhode Island, Massachusetts, New Hampshire, Vermont, and Maine!
I used the RoadTrippers website to map out our entire trip with specified stops for places like Louis’ Lunch in Connecticut, BIRTHPLACE OF THE BURGER!
Family owned and operated, they are one of the oldest, family-run businesses in the country. Chosen by the Travel Channel as “The Tastiest Place to Chow Down in America” & “The Tastiest Burger.”
Last year we started using a credit card (Chase Sapphire Preferred Card: Rated Best Airline Miles Card) for all our expenses and have earned enough airline miles to almost completely pay for our family to fly round-trip to New York.
My mom is also coming on this trip! She’s been on quite a few trips with us lately. She’s very helpful with the girls and will give my husband and I the opportunity to have some alone time. After completing this trip, she will have visited EVERY STATE in the United States of America! And I will be up to 34 out of 50 states!
The very last thing to be completed on my list will be staying in a haunted place. We have booked a night at The Salem Inn in Salem, Massachusetts.
We are planning on taking tours to the House of Seven Gables, the Salem Witch Museum, and the Hocus Pocus Tour to see the locations where the movie was filmed!
Click here to see photos from some previously completed bucket list items like surfing and scuba diving!
Louis’ Lunch is good. Really good, but be prepared – they don’t serve condiments there. If you even ask for ketchup, they will send you to the back of the line and I have even seen them refuse customers. All for asking for ketchup. So bring your own. Oh, and get there right when it opens because if you wait, the line will be down the block.
Wow, good to know! I saw that they did NOT serve ketchup on their burgers! We will definitely need to bring our own for the girls! (And hide when we add it to the burgers, lol)
You are making some major progress on your bucket list. There are a lot of check marks there!
Oh my goodness you have a crazy week ahead of you, enjoy every moment and good luck on finishing the last things on your 30 before 30.
It’s awesome to have a bucket list before you’re 30! It just makes life more exciting knowing that you have all of these things that you want and you have accomplished.
It’s nice to see that there are a lot of checks in your bucket list! It’s very exciting whenever you’re going to cross one out too! I hope you complete this list before you turn 30!
I really like your bucket list. It looks very exciting.
I am in my 40’s and I can give you this advice – do those rugged activities (like skydiving) now while you are young. Even my husband (who is 48) used to be into this idea, but now it has curbed quite a bit.
But I suppose you will be fine, since you plan on getting the list done before you are 30.
I started this list because I wanted to make sure I completed some of these while I was still young! I have been planning to skydiving on my birthday since I was 18 and I’m finally making it happen! This challenge has really forced me to get out there, have fun, and live life!
Your list is pretty impressive, especially the ones that you have accomplished. I think your upcoming road trip sounds like fun, too! I would love to do a road trip.
What a great list! Can I incorporate this at 35!
Wow what a list! You’ve gotten so much done on it too, i need to find mine and check it out and see how well or badly I’ve done!
This bucket list looks like it is going to be quite the mix. I wish I had thought to make one like this!
Oohh, you will be in my neck of the woods if you stay in Salem. I give you credit because I am not sure I could do it!
I LOVE your list. Minus hte sky diving!! I should SO do one for my 40th.
I see you have ticked off a lot in your list. That’s awesome! I never dreamed of sky diving. I am too chicken to do that, and spending a night in a haunted place? Oh no no no. If this was my list, I would replace those two with – “Eat my entire birthday cake” and “Live on the beach for a month and watch 30 sunsets” 🙂 Hope you have a great birthday!
You’ve done a lot of things on your bucket list! I don’t have a bucket list, but this is a great idea!
