Here’s a quick recap of my year! It’s amazing how quickly it goes by and how so many things change!
In January, I had officially been a member of Instagram for one year!
My first photo? Food, of course! Low fat turkey and veggie lasagna since I was still in the process of losing my baby weight!
In February, we bought our first house!!
In March, Haley turned 2 years old and we threw a Mickey Mouse birthday party! And I made my first cake with fondant!
In April, I got the coolest machine ever made!! The Silhouette Cameo! And we used it to add a chalkboard menu to our new kitchen wall!
In May, we got a super adorable new kitten! Oh and a dog too, unfortunately.
In June, I decided to begin focusing on my photography and I started upgrading my equipment.
In July, on my 26th birthday, I decided to officially start my own photography business – Pixel Clicks Photography!
In August, Haley had her very first haircut – by the same woman who gave me my very first haircut (and Natalie’s too).
In September (maybe even late August), my 64-year-old dad was officially diagnosed with Stage 4 Small Cell Lung Cancer (SCLC). His life expectancy without chemo was only about 3 months. Luckily, he just finished his last round of chemo and he’s alive and well.
In October, I quit smoking (in light of my dads cancer) and my baby girl turned 4 years old.
In November, my hubby and I celebrated our 5 year anniversary and I got a brand new Canon 6D as my present!
And in December, Haley got to play in snow for the very first time in her life!
It’s been a great year! I can’t believe how quickly my girls are growing up. I’ve learned so much about running a photography business this year and I can’t wait to see what 2014 brings!
It looks like you’ve had a very great year! It’s so wonderful that your dad is doing well – and that you quit smoking! I hope that 2014 has many more wonderful surprises for you, Amy!
What a beautiful year in review 🙂 I love the Minnie cake, and congrats on quitting smoking and buying your first house!
Wow a lot of good things happened for you and your family this year. I am so glad your Dad successfully complete is chemo and that you quit smoking.
I love the way you recapped your year! I will have to do this because our year was super eventful too!
Thanks for linking up last week. We are excited to feature your adorable kitten photo today on our Wordless Wednesday linkup. Good luck with your new photography business! Your photos are beautiful.
