You saw the adorable non-candy Valentine’s Day pencil holders that I made for the kids in Natalie’s kindergarten class last week. I also wanted to share these cute candy bags I made for Haley’s Pre-K class!
These candy bag toppers feature the same woodland animal friends, just a different design. These super cute woodland animals from TheHungryJpeg are available for free to download, if you’d like to create your own design.
I created four different styles for you to print. You can mix and match them or just use one of the designs. I printed 6 of each design so that I had 24.
Free Printable:
- Woodland Animal Candy Bag .Studio File – For Silhouette Print and Cut
- Woodland Animal Candy Bag PNG – For Printing Only
Supplies:
- White Cardstock
- Snack size baggies
- Stapler
- Scissors or cutting machine
- Candy
How To:
If you are NOT using a Silhouette electronic cutting machine, you simply need to print out the design, cut around the edges, fold it in half, and staple the bag of candy.
If you ARE using a Silhouette electronic machine, download the .studio file and open it in Silhouette Studio. Make sure your registration marks are turned on. Click Print. The registration marks will tell the Silhouette machine where to cut.
Because of the straight edges, you can easily cut these without running it through the cutting machine. I prefer to use my machine so I can cut a perforate line along the center.
The perforated line allows you to fold the bag topper perfectly in the center every time without much effort. You can still achieve the same result without a fancy cutting machine. I suggest using something like a bone folder for a nice clean edge.
Once you have folded your bag toppers, you can attach your bags of candy. The height where you attach the candy bag depends on the type of candy and your preference. Since we did small bags of candy I only let a small amount of the bag show at the bottom. Two staples on each side should be enough to hold it in place.
I designed these to fit a normal baggie so each bag topper measures 7 inches by 2.8 inches after it has been folded. However, they can be resized before printing to fit any size treat bag.
