Frito-Lay 2 Go (FL2Go) is taking families from the depths of the ocean to the treetops of the rainforest through an exciting partnership with the Association of Zoos and Aquariums (AZA).
We were invited to spend the day at Zoo Atlanta. My mom had never been to the zoo before, and my girls were really little the last time my husband and I took them, so they don’t remember going.
The last time we went in the winter so all the animals were either hiding or put up for the cold weather. This time all the animals were out and about and super photogenic, almost posing for me! Check out the adorable giraffe eating in the video below.
For over a century, AZA has been a leader is conservation education, providing local areas with first-hand science and environmental education opportunities, while also working to save endangered species through their Saving Animals From Extinction (SAFE) program. This program is supported by visitors just like you, AZA members, and partners like Frito-Lay.
For our trip to the zoo, I brought:
- My camera – Canon 6D
- Two lenses – 40mm | 70-200mm
- Bottled water (and Mountain Dew for myself)
- Baby wipes for sticky hands
- Bandaids (which we needed)
- Assorted bags of Frito-Lay 2 Go
I bought myself this Kelly Moore camera bag for my birthday in July. I absolutely love it, and for such a small backpack, it holds a ton of stuff. It’s lightweight and perfect for a day trip to the zoo.
All of these pictures were taken with my 70-200 lens. It’s a beast to carry around, but it’s worth it. It’s definitely my favorite of all my lenses.
Frito-Lay 2 Go is partnering with AZA to offer a free kid’s pass to participating facilities to spark adventure and unlock fun for the whole family!
How It Works:
- Purchase a specially marked package of FL2Go, featuring a tiger, panda, monkey, elephant or penguin.
- Visit AZA.Frito-Lay.com to upload a photo of your receipt for proof of purchase and find your local participating AZA facility.
- Check your email for your free kid’s pass!
- Visit your local AZA facility for a family wildlife adventure!
- *Note: Offer is for visits Monday thru Friday until 10/20/2016

Your kiddos have great smiles! I always feel like I’m reliving my childhood when I snack on Frito products, so delicious!
The Atlanta Zoo is absolutely fantastic. We go there at least a half dozen times throughout the year. It’s always a good idea to take snacks along. These are great picks!
I’m glad to hear you can bring your own snacks and water in. I’ve lived here for 20 years and didn’t know that!
Your camera was a must. I’m loving the quality of your zoo photos. What great memories!
We love Zoo Atlanta! You took such great pictures there!
We need to take a family trip to the zoo soon. This looks like so much fun. I like how you packed and were prepared, I’ll make sure to do that for when we visit.
We love visiting the zoo and are about due for a return trip. Packing your own snacks is certainly a great way to save money too!
It looks like you guys had a ton of fun! I would love to take my kids to a zoo like this. They would love it!
These are great suggestions. We love zoo days.
I remember zoo days with my kiddos. They are older now and not quite as thrilled with zoo days
Looks like you had a great time! It’s been so long since we last visited a zoo. I think we need to plan on that!
You managed to capture some amazing pictures with that lens. It’s really cool that you had the opportunity to check out this zoo.
What a fun family excursion! And your packed bag of snacks is the perfect assortment! Can’t think of a better way to teach kids to respect and honor these creatures with whom we live than to teach them about their lives and habits at the zoo.
We love going to the zoo! These are great packing tips, I always seem to forget something.
I love the zoo and snacks are always a good idea when traveling with children. And adults. I always have a couple granola bars tucked away in my purse for those moments when hunger strikes.
We are heading out on a day trip tomorrow. No where fancy, but I’m already stressed about what to pack! so this is helpful. looks like you guys had a blast!
I never forget to pack bottled water, some snacks, and baby wipes too! It’s really important that they are all in my bag before we go anywhere else. Aside from that, I make sure the kids also has extra clothes.
It looks like fun! I’ve been wanting to take my kiddos on a day trip to Atlanta. It’s not that far from us and there are so many things they would love to do. Maybe I shoud put the zoo down as a must see!
This place is awesome. I remember the last time we went to a zoo and my son really enjoyed it.
My kids love spending the day at the zoo. We usually get a year membership and go all throughout the year. I always try to stick some snacks in my bag when we go – so they’re not asking or eating a ton of junk food.
Great list! I used to bring some of these but for the most part, didn’t bring a ton because it was easier that way.
Looks like this zoo has such amazing animals to see. I love Frito-Lay chips and products so I will have to participate.
Those are some great pictures. Lions are always laying down or sleeping in my photos too, lol It’s hard to catch one roaming.
This looks like a great trip!! Love the pictures!
Did you feed any of the animals some of your snacks? Just kidding. That wouldn’t be a good idea in the zoo’s eyes. I love the zoo. It’s so much fun to see all the animals.
