1. Optimize Images for Faster Loading Time
When you take a photo with your digital camera, or even your mobile device, the file itself is pretty big. Resize your images to fit in your post. I resize everything to 700px because that’s what works for my site.
Uploading full size images into your post can have a huge effect on how your page loads, which affects how long people stick around.
2. Say No to Spam
If you’re not using a plugin to combat spam, you should be! There’s no reason to waste time reading spam comments.
There are many plugins that will work but, Akismet is one of the best options because it comes with WordPress out of the box and it’s free for personal use.
3. Recirculate Old Posts
Instead of creating an entirely new post, try updating the pictures in an old post and share it on your social platforms.
If you don’t have time to flip through your old posts and promote them, automate it. Revive Old Posts shares your previously published articles (and new ones) on your social channels. You schedule the time and number of posts and Revive Old Posts does the rest.
4. Use a Planner
There are many ways to keep traffic of your articles. You can manually track things on paper or use a convenient plugin like CoSchedule, which seems to be the popular choice.
5. Stress-Free Maintenance
Optimized WordPress is a new hosting platform, just a small extension to existing products provided by HostGator, specifically built for an optimized and managed WordPress environment. Optimized WordPress hosting packages will come pre-loaded with PHP 5.6 by default (the most recent PHP version offered).
HostGator will handle all of the core, theme, and plugin updates without the need for any action on your part. In other words, you won’t need to log into your WP-Admin panel to update your plugins, themes, or WordPress anymore.
HostGator will handle any management that would require cPanel access to the server to provide a seamless service and a pure WordPress experience. You no longer have to worry about malicious users, injections, or any other general security concerns.
