Can you believe Halloween is right around the corner?? Natalie was born just a little over a week before Halloween last year. She’ll be a one year old this Halloween!! It still blows my mind. Last year, I dressed Natalie up in a little pumpkin onesie. We weren’t exactly sure if she’d be born yet but luckily she got to wear it.

Natalie’s 1st Halloween

I use to dress up every year and have some sort of Halloween party to go to but that all changed once I met my husband and had Natalie. I’m sure this Halloween will be a quiet night just like last year, especially with the news of a new baby on the way.

Halloween 2008

I love doing matching couples costumes and one of my favorites has got to be the year I met my husband. We had only been dating two months and decided to dress up as hippies for Halloween! It was a lot of fun. We went all out with the wigs, jewelery, and glasses!  I think we both looked really awesome!

Picking the perfect Halloween costume is a hard decision. I almost chose the Lady Bug Infant Costume but I was worried about how it would fit her because she is so small and one size fits all up to 24 months. Plus I wanted a warm and comfy costume for her.

After much consideration, I went with the Infant Lil Flower Costume. Not only is it absolutely adorable, but it had size ranges to choose from for a better fit. The Lil Flower costume comes with 3 different pieces, the main bodysuit, the flower headpiece, and the booties. The skid resistant booties don’t fit Natalie very well but I think they would fit much better if I put some shoes on her first.

My favorite, as well as the most convenient, part of the costume would have to be the leg snap closures on the bodysuit. I hate clothing that makes it nearly impossible to change a dirty diaper.

When buying your Halloween costume this year you may want to ask yourself…

  • Does it have the “cute” factor??
  • Do you want a theme for your family or children??
  • Is it warm enough??
  • Age appropriate??
  • Is it easy to see out of??
  • Can your child walk easily and safely??
