I personally had never heard of Shaklee before. My mother, on the other hand, was very familiar with them. Mostly for their vitamins and supplements. Shaklee is actually the number one natural nutrition company in the US, and has been around for over 50 years.
In fact, back in the 1960’s, they made one of the first biodegradable household cleaners ever!
Although Shaklee carries products for weight-loss, nutrition, and beauty, I received a GET CLEAN® STARTER KIT – FRAGRANCE FREE to test out, which did not disappoint!

This kit cost $115 ($99 if you become a member) but you could spend $3400 for ready to use cleaners to get the same amount of clean found in the Get Clean Starter Kit! There are a ton of products to cover but I wanted to point put a few of my favorites!
Let me start off with the Basic H2® cleaner. It’s a highly concentrated cleaner with multiple uses. This little 16 oz bottle creates an unbelievable 48 gallons of super-safe, really powerful, all purpose cleaner! Just 1/4 tsp. of cleaner (and water) makes 16oz. of all-purpose cleaner for only 3 cents.
This same concentrated cleaner is also used as a glass cleaner (just use 1-2 drops) and for bigger, greaser messes you add 1 1/2 tsp to 16 ounces of water.
The Basic H2® cleaner can be used on any washable surface – Walls, Windows and Mirrors, Countertops, Floors, Appliances, Stoves, Sealed Woodwork, Pots and Pans, and even Furniture. It’s nontoxic, all natural, and best of all, there are NO FUMES!!! You no longer need to spray your counters down and run in the other direction! I also feel much safer cleaning around my babies, especially in their rooms.
You can purchase the Super Microfiber Dish Sponge for $3 and it’s worth every penny! My husband tries to use on everything we own, and I mean everything (our car, the fireplace) but I try to limit him to the kitchen!
This super sponge is by far the best thing I’ve ever used for cleaning my stove. It’s microfiber, so it’s soft and won’t scratch, but powerful enough to handle those stuck on splatters and spills!
The Laundry Detergent has also been great so far! I really love the pump it comes with! It’s perfect for my new HE washing machine. It prevents me from having to pour laundry detergent in a cup which can sometimes make a mess. Just a few pumps and I’m good. Even my husband mentioned how much he liked it! Plus you can purchase large containers of laundry detergent to refill your pump bottle!
The Laundry Booster and Stain Remover also seems to work efficiently. I placed it in the Bleach section of my washer which apparently wasn’t a good idea. It turned into a huge clump. It’s best to add it straight to the clothes.
Removes soil stains 13% better than OxiClean® Versatile Stain Remover Powder, and is comparable to Clorox 2® Stain Fighter when used as a laundry additive during soaking and washing. Comparable to OxiClean Versatile on overall soil removal when used as a laundry booster.*

The Dryer Sheets are different from any kind I’ve ever seen. The dryer sheets are more like plastic than the usual thin, cloth-like sheets. I’m not sure if it’s from the material it’s made with since they use vegetable-derived softening agents. They also recommend tearing the sheet in half during the drying cycle to distribute softness throughout the load.
Overall I was extremely satisfied with the Get Clean Starter Kit!! Definitely top notch products! I would recommend this to my own family and friends! If you have a newly married friend or daughter, this would be a perfect wedding gift for a couple with a new home or even a baby shower gift! We all know how messy new babies can be!
