In building Matilda Jane Clothing, founder, chief designer and CEO Denise DeMarchis wanted to be able to help connect people though her designs – colorful, timeless, and playful ensembles that are age-appropriate and help reflect the personality of the child. One customer wrote to say that each piece of clothing in MJC’s collections “represents love, joy, and happiness … three gifts you always give, all the time, to my child and our family.”
A good majority of the MJC line is designed for kids and teens. However there is also a marvelous selection of unique dresses, tops, and skirts for women!
I love all the colorful sophisticated designs that are also made with comfort in mind! My daughter Haley received the Apple Pie Lap Dress and my oldest, Natalie, received the Maybeline Dress!
Both dresses are made from cotton and elastane which makes them somewhat stretchy. I love how lightweight and breathable they are, but thick and durable at the same time.
Natalie’s dress has a completely removable sash. Just unhook it from the button on either side. You can tie the sash in the front, or the back, or even wear it in your hair!! A spare button is also included just in case.
