©IMG_9228Kenn Viselman, the marketing genius who introduced us to Teletubbies, Thomas the Tank EngineNoddy and Eloise has created a film that reinvents the movie-going experience. This film – basically a movie and a live show rolled into one – is the first-of-its-kind interactive family musical that encourages the audience to get out of their seats, dance, and sing. Visual and auditory cues invite the audience to “move” the action along, allowing parents and kids to interact not only with the characters, but also with one another.

The Oogieloves in the BIG Balloon Adventure (due out “Oogust” 29this a quality G-rated movie free from any kind of aggression and bloodshed. Kenn Viselman, the creator of The Oogieloves, and his team have been traveling around the country engaging bloggers in conversations about what constitutes quality G-rated entertainment. Other than a few wildlife documentaries and a re-release in a popular children’s movie in 3-D, Hollywood has completely ignored the youngest moviegoer…. until now!

The story follows the Oogieloves – Goobie, Zoozie and Toofie – as they prepare for a surprise birthday party for their friend, Schluufy. When their guardian, J. Edgar, loses the last five magical balloons in all of Lovelyloveville, the Oogieloves take action. Along the way, they meet Rosalie Rosebud (Toni Braxton), Dottie Rounder (Cloris Leachman), Lola and Lero Sombrero (Jaime Pressly and Christopher Lloyd), Milky Marvin (Chazz Palminteri), and Bobby Wobbly (Cary Elwes).

I was able to take Natalie to a special pre-screening of The Oogieloves in the BIG Balloon Adventure at the Studio Movie Grill in Alpharetta! It was my first time there and I must say I was quite impressed. They have over 100 food and beverage items that can be served in-theater directly to your seats!

Before the showing, they had breakfast and fun activities set up for us! During the movie, I let Natalie get up and run around quite a bit, although I was somewhat uncomfortable. I’m usually constantly telling her to sit back down, so letting her run wide in the theater didn’t seem natural. That’s the idea of this movie though; let kids be kids. No one expects a 2 year old to sit through a 2 hour movie. Natalie thoroughly enjoyed singing and dancing to the movie, playing with the other kids, and being served unlimited popcorn like a princess.

The movie opens in theaters “Oogust” 29th. Just ONE WEEK from today! To celebrate we are giving away an Oogieloves Prize Pack!!
