The Ultimate Blog Party has become an exciting annual event around the blogosphere! It is a bloggy carnival where participating bloggers publish a “party post” introducing themselves and then hop through the linky lists meeting other bloggers from now until April 12th. Join the Ultimate Blog Party here!
I know many of you from the Blog Party have lots of new blogs to visit so I’ll try to make this quick and painless! I’m a 25 year old stay-at-home mom of two sweet girls – ages 2 and 3! I started blogging in June 2009 while pregnant with my oldest daughter, Natalie.
Then in April 2010 (right before I got pregnant with Haley), I launched “Marvelous Mommy” which was named by my sweet husband! I never thought I would have two daughters so close in age, and I wouldn’t change it for the world!
I enjoy perfecting my photography skills, baking yummy treats with my girls, fun crafts, and DIY projects! We just bought our first house at the end of February!
Here’s a few quick trivia questions to help you learn a little bit more about me!
Have you ever:
Gone on a blind date? No.
Skipped school? Umm, yes.
Been lost? Well yes, but I have a very good sense of direction.
Swam in the ocean? Of course, we live on the East Coast where the water is warm enough to swim in!
Sang karaoke? Yes surprisingly! It was our wedding anniversary and we were on a cruise ship! My husband begged me! Click here for the pictures.
Paid for a meal with coins only? Haha, yes I have. But that’s a funny story for another day.
Made prank phone calls? Oh yes!
Baked a turkey? Once. Thank goodness I married a man that can cook!
Been kissed under the mistletoe? Nope.
Watched the sun rise? Yes, but not often. I am definitely not a morning person!
Sat outside in the rain? Yes!
Lived one of your dreams? Yes.
Eaten just cookies/dessert for dinner? Oh yeah!
What is your favorite:
Beverage? EXTRA sweet tea. And Mountain Dew, I drink way too much of that green goodness!
Vacation spot? Usually the beach but I’m due for a nice ski trip!
TV show? Desperate Housewives, The Walking Dead, Raising Hope, Sons of Anarchy, and of course Duck Dynasty!
Movie? Where The Heart Is! (I named my daughter after Natalie Portman.)
Holiday? I’ve always been a fan of Halloween. And Christmas is fun too. I love the decorations!
Sport? Swimming. Don’t look at me like that! Swimming is a sport!
Dessert? Cheesecake! Fo Sho!
Food? Pasta! And my husband makes a mean Turkey Spinach Burger!
Time of day? Nighttime!
Season? Fall is nice. Great weather!

Hi Amy It’s so nice to meet you. Just stopping by from the UBP#13. Your daughters are just beautiful. I see you are into photography too. woohoo!
Awww Your Girls are so sweet! It’s awesome they are so close in age, although maybe not so great when they both become teenagers right around the same time! 😛
Haha yes I hear that a lot! At least they’ll be able to share clothes and shoes!
Hi Amy, thank you for stopping by My Boys and Their Toys. What adorable girls you have! I look forward to getting to know you more.
You already know I’m a follower of your blog. Love the pics- your girls are so adorable. My fave show right now is hands down The Walking Dead! And I had no idea Natalie was named after Natalie Portman. I’m going to have to watch Where the Heart Is now since I’ve never seen it. Glad you joined in for the UBP13. 🙂
OMGosh yes! I can’t wait until October for another season of The Walking Dead!!
And you MUST watch Where The Heart Is! Today! Right now! Lol. It’s an older movie with Natalie Portman and Ashley Judd. Definitely watch it when you get a chance though!
Stopping by the UBP13 to say Hello!! Hope you have a fabulous week 🙂

Stopping from the UBP! My 1st 4 kiddos are all within 3 years, loved having them close in age. I too love photography when I have the chance. 🙂

Sundays right now aren’t the same without Walking Dead 🙁 Nice to ‘meet’ you though and love your pics!
Stopping by from the Ultimate Blog Party!
Boooo! I know! My husband said the same thing! At least I have the Client List on Sunday for now!
Checking out your blog as a part of #UBP13! Thanks for the Twitter follow. I too am a stay at home Mom who loves the same things you do – photography, anything to do with my family and my family is actually moving to a new house at the end of the summer, so I’ll have to check out your new house stuff!
Stop by: http://www.cornbeanspigskids.blogspot.com to find out more about me, my family and my farm!
Visiting from the #UBP13 and following you on Twitter too! Thanks for following me this morning too 🙂 I love your blog; you have great ideas – and that Minnie Mouse party is INCREDIBLE! You are very gifted! Can’t wait to keep up with you!
Hi Amy,
Great to meet you. I love your daughter’s birthday cake! How long did it take you? You did a great job.
I also love how you themed everything, you are a woman after my own heart.
The Mickey Mouse cake took 12 hours!! Straight! Haha well minus the time it took tending to 2 toddlers! Plus I made the fondant a few days before which probably takes an hour! It was worth it though. I surprisingly really enjoy decorating cakes!
Good morning! Stopping by from UBP. You have a lovely family. Mt. Dew used to be my poison too but I gave it up for Pepsi once my teeth got all sorts of jacked up. (I know, I know, Pepsi isn’t much better) Desperate Housewives is a fave show of mine too, but I only watch the OC and New York versions. I enjoyed stopping by your blog and look forward to reading more of your posts.

You and your girls are all so beautiful. I can image it is tons of fun for your girls to be so close in age. Mine are 2.5 yrs apart and they play wonderfully together… I can imagine it would be so fun for them to be even closer in age.
Aw thanks for stopping by! Yes they play together so well! I never expected to have two kids so close but its been a blessing!
