General Mills has been surprising cereal lovers with free prizes in cereal boxes for more than 80 years. From secret wrist bands to whistles, and mini license plates to free paint sets, getting something special inside the box is part of the heritage of iconic General Mills cereal brands.
Through a partnership with Mega Bloks, General Mills if offering cereal fans of all ages a Mega Bloks car inside specially marked boxes. Each participating brand of General Mills cereals offers a free Mega Bloks car with a set of Hello Kitty and Power Rangers stickers and instructions to cut out a pattern to construct a cardboard jump from the cereal box. They also work with all Mega Bloks you might already have at home.
General Mills recognizes that adults make up nearly 50 percent of its cereal consumption which suggests that families are enjoying cereal time together.
There are four cars to collect or give to a Mega Bloks fan in your life. Participating brands include Honey Nut Cheerios, Reese’s Puffs, Cocoa Puffs, Lucky Charms, Golden Grahams and Cinnamon Toast Crunch – available while supplies last.

Yes I remember getting prizes in cereal boxes as a kid. My kids also always wanted me to buy the cereal just for the prize. Wow, this brings back memories.
My sister always took the prize, lol. I like Cinnamon Toast Crunch and my grandkids like Lucky Charms.

I remember that me and my brothers would fight over who gets the prize and I remember fishing my hands through the cereal to find the prize and now they put the prizes on the outside of the waxed lining, which is better and I still like some of the prizes in the cereal for my grandchildren

Golden Grahams and Honey Nut Cheerios are my favorite. I remember eating Golden Grahams when I was a kid. It seemed to be the most “unhealthy” cereal my mom would buy. We never had Cinnamon Toast Crunch.

The prize in the cereal box was always the coolest part! My sister & I would argue over who got it, and my mom instituted the rule that you couldn’t ‘dig’ for it…you had to wait until it fell into your bowl!
