Welcome to Project 52.
One theme, one photo, once a week. Simple.
My sister turned 40 years old this week! To celebrate, she took a trip to the Florida Keys with her husband, and left me with 4 (of her 5) children… for a whole week!
Day number one, Natalie is sent home from pre-k with a fever and vomiting!
The sickness just spread from there. All 8 of us ended up with the flu. We’re actually all still sick and sleepy… and gross! Honestly, I’m shocked I had enough energy to put together this post!
I planned to get a shot of the lake like this with my good camera one day this week. I didn’t leave the house much this week since we were sick though, so I’m sharing an iPhone shot instead. I pass this beautiful spot every morning on the way to my daughter’s school. It’s different every single day!
My favorite photo from last week’s link-up is definitely the coffee cup photo from Just Julie Ann. I love the color of the cup and softness of the photo. I also really liked the lines in the photo from RJ and Jessie!
I will be co-hosting this link up with Sarah and Angie each week. Follow me on Instagram and feel free to join us using the hashtag #Project52Photos.

BOO on the flu! The kids and I have been fighting colds all week. Hope you are all on the mend! Thanks for your kind words about my photo last week.
You are an amazing sister to take on 4 extra kids for a whole week. I don’t know if I would have said yes had I been in the same situation 🙂
What a week to get sick. 🙁 Hope you are all on the mend now. And, I’m now craving some donuts ….
Sorry you all were sick. Love the donut photo. Hope you all get to feeling better.
I love that you took care of most of your sister’s kids! SO nice of you – especially with the flu!
And that lake – OH MY – it’s gorgeous!!
What a champ you are for taking on so many kids and then taking on the flu! Those donuts look amazing.
Oh no! I am so sorry to hear that all of you were sick! I hope that you’re feeling better now!
Don’t you just love when the kids you are babysitting are sick on your watch. Good luck!
What an adorable family picture! Also, I love love love the picture of the sky!
Those donuts look so cute and tasty! I am loving this photo challenge so far!
Im sorry you were all sick, Now i want some donuts.
Wow you are an angel sister! That’s for sure. Also, those donut look amazing! That sky is beautiful.
These are all great photos. My favorite one is the sky picture.
I really love this idea, I am all about photos. Right now I am doing a Photo series for the year though so IDK If I can keep up with two. Beautiful photos!
You are such a good person. Hope all are well. Love the pic challenge.
Sorry to hear everyone got sick. That’s a huge bummer… hope you recuperate over the weekend. 🙂
Hope you all feel better soon! I love the idea of Project 52!
What a rough week! Amazing pictures though!
I need to take some type of a photo challenge to improve my skills. I love that you kept the whole bunch of kids, that must have been so fun until you got sick…
Such a beautiful picture. I hope you feel better.
I love how something so simple as a coffee cup can make such a bold statement in photography. That donut pic you took is so pretty and fun.
I didn’t get a flu shot, and now have the flu myself so I totally empathize. The last temp check for me was 104, I’m over it!
Oh, wow. 5 kids!?!? You’re a great aunt.
A morning with doughnuts is a good morning. I love this project 52 idea!
We’ve got 5 of our own and everyone thinks we are off our rocker when we let the older kids have friends over. It’s not uncommon for there to be 10+ kids running around our house. It’s crazy but fun.
