Holiday in the Park at Six Flags Over Georgia is back for the 4th year in a row! We took the girls to the winter wonderland to experience more than one million LED lights and to check out the festive rides.
We made it just in time for the ceremonial Christmas tree lighting. Every night at 6 p.m. from November 18- January 3, Six Flags Over Georgia will begin Holiday in the Park with the lighting of its towering 25-foot Christmas tree. It’s right at the front of the park in A Main Street Christmas.
There are fire pits throughout the park (S’mores Village, JB’s Sports Bar, Metropolis Park) where you can stop to warm up or create your own s’mores! Then indulge yourself in unlimited hot chocolate refills for just $1.99.
Holiday in the Park at Six Flags Over Georgia will be open on select days from November 18-January 3. Check out the entertainment schedule and events page so you can plan your day. They are closed on Thanksgiving Day, Christmas Eve and Christmas Day.
The park is decked out with sooo many lights and even fake snow! You can get a great view of the park from the Goliath as you are slowly riding towards the top before that first BIG drop.
Atlanta traffic is always unpredictable so leave extra early so you can get there right as the park opens. The park closes most days at 10 p.m. and you won’t have enough time to do and see everything unless you arrive early.
Make sure you take a ride on the North Pole Express for a good view of the beautiful scenery. You’ll start at Marthasville Train Station and head towards the North Pole where Santa and Mrs. Claus are waiting! Santa is available for pictures up until December 23.
Special events during Holiday in the Park such as guest performances by visiting choirs will be held on certain dates so check the calendar before your visit. Check online for the best deals and purchase your tickets before you arrive. Daily tickets currently start at $48.99.
So festive and fun. Our Six Flags closes in the winter because it gets cold and snowy where we live.
I have been to Six Flags twice in my life. Both times I was a kid. I’m not sure I even knew that this existed. It looks like a lot of family fun for the holidays.
How fun! It looks like you all had a great time. The lights are beautiful. Where I live there is a drive through park with lights but this looks like more fun.
