My husband took a few days off for Spring Break this year. Originally, when he took off work, we had planned to go camping.
But I didn’t do any planning in advance and while discussing campground options, we decided a cabin in North Georgia would give us the same fun experience, plus a warm bed… and a hot tub!
Yes, the husband agrees as long as he can fish! We booked a cabin in Blue Ridge, GA. It’s a short, relaxing drive only 1-2 hours from us.
The girls had fun playing ball and fishing with their daddy. Haley caught the first fish right after we arrived.
The water in the creek was freezing, but the weather was gorgeous, and we had an awesome fire pit for making s’mores!
We decided to take the long way home and drive a little further to the north to see Lookout Mountain. Tuesday morning, right after we checked out, we drove straight towards Tennessee to see Rock City, Ruby Falls, and ride the Incline Railway straight up the mountain! See those photos HERE!
That cabin looks adorable, what a lovely place for a family getaway, and I’m sure your girls will have awesome memories of this trip! I wish spring would come to Denmark, it’s still cold, windy and rainy for the most part 🙁
what a wonderful cabin for a fun little family getaway. I’d love to stay here with my kiddos, not sure i’d be able to get them out of the hot tub though.

You all look like you had a truly incredible Spring Break. I agree with you that a cabin is so much better than a tent and who can say no to a hot tub. It is already getting beautiful down here in the South and I can’t wait to explore more of East Tennessee as we relocated here last summer. We are hoping to get down to Georgia soon!
It looks like you guys had a great time! I especially love the face of your one little girl with the s’more. How adorable!
I also love going camping but it is a nice change to have a roof over your head. This looks like a beautiful spot to have your vacation. I am glad you had a great trip and hope you enjoyed your scenic drive home.
What a fun and beautiful Spring Break you had. I cannot wait to take my kids on a trip like this. I think they would love it. Your girls are beautiful and seem so happy. Thanks for sharing with us your journey and I’m sure the long trip home was defently worth every second 🙂
What an awesome destination! I love finding those little gem of places that aren’t too far. The cabin and river look so perfect!
This was awesome to learn about. it looks so beautiful
What a gorgeous place! I love the cabin itself, and I love that you guys had a creek right there!
Wow! Those photos look incredible. I would love to stay in a cabin like that some day. The creek is beautiful, and the jacuzzi is very appealing as well. I love smores so much that I want to build a fire pit in the back yard…
I love visiting the Blue Ridge Mountains. They are really close to us so it is a great day or weekend trip.
