1. What is one food or drink you cannot live without?
Well a few years ago I would have said Mountain Dew! But since I’ve been pregnant and breastfeeding for what seems like forever, I’d have to say Juicy Juice!!
2. Are you a foodie? Do you like to cook or are you a food blogger?
Honestly, I’m not much of a cook. If you tell me exactly what to do I can make it but cooking is not a passion for me. My husband on the other hand loves to cook and does most of the cooking in our home!
3. What is your one easy family friendly recipe, or amazing supersecret recipe that you are known for?
With my husband’s recipe, I can make a mean lasagna and a terrific broccoli casserole. My husband makes a fantastic fettuccine alfredo and a marvelous sesame chicken! Also, my sister makes yummy apple dumplings and if your looking for a delicious punch recipe, this is THE ONE! I promise, you’ll love it!
I got this recipe from my sister and she got it from allrecipes.com. I had to share it with you!! This is the BEST punch you will ever drink! 🙂 I think so anyways!
Ingredients:
- 2 1/2 cups white sugar
- 6 cups water
- (3 ounce) packages strawberry flavored gelatin mix
- 1 (46 fluid ounce) can pineapple juice
- 2/3 cup lemon juice
- 1 quart orange juice
- 2 (2 liter) bottles lemon-lime flavored carbonated beverage (I use Sprite)
Directions:
- In a large saucepan, combine sugar, water, and strawberry flavored gelatin. Boil for 3 minutes. Stir in pineapple juice, lemon juice, and orange juice. Divide mixture in half, and freeze in 2 separate containers.
- When ready to serve, place the frozen contents of one container in a punch bowl, and stir in 1 bottle of lemon-lime soda until slushy.

LOL Yes being pregnant and nursing definitely brings changes as far as what we drink 🙂
Lucky that your husband loves to cook! Mine only is in charge of a few menus. But that’s actually fine with me.
The punch sounds delish!
Have a great week!
I think it’s really great that your husband cooks when you don’t like too. My husband cooks desserts which is great because I love to eat dessert. Your punch looks yummy!
You are so lucky that your husband cooks. How didn’t I search out one that did?
That punch does sound good. It is my first week of Monday Mingle so wanted to stop by and say hi. Glad I did…love your blog…very cheery.
Happy Monday!
The Juicy Juice comment made me chuckle, I remember feeling like I’d never drink a “grown up” drink again (all I wanted was something that didn’t come with a straw attached). LOL
The punch does sound wonderful.
Thanks for mingling!
That punch does sound scrumptious! I will definitely try that the next time I have a party… I bet you could add champagne instead of soda to add a kick.
You are very lucky that your hubby cooks, mine does everything else around the house except cook & the laundry but I don’t mind.
Hope you are having a great week and don’t have much snow and ice where you are. Stay safe & warm.
