I’m sure that’s what the woman at Walmart was thinking. I just couldn’t catch a break the other day!
As I’m checking out, Natalie is sitting the buggy being a ‘good’ girl. Or so I thought. I look up and she’s leaning over trying to get at the stupid, attractive “grab me” candy in the check out lane. I can tell she almost has it so I run to grab her but right before I get there, she pulls the entire box of Snickers off the shelf and they all go falling on the floor… Except for the one Natalie is holding on too of course.
So the checkout woman comes to help me pick them up. As she carries the box of Snickers back to her register, I can tell she’s irritated by the way she says “I’ll straighten them up when I get a chance”.
Then as I’m loading the groceries into the buggy, I move my purse out of my way and into the reach of Natalie… Great idea. Of course, Natalie finds some gum in my purse and starts eating it right away paper and all because she knows she’s not supposed to have it.
Don’t you just love it when kids do that to you!?!
They move so fast.
i gave up. I dont take my kids to the store with me anymore
i took my 2 1/2 year old son to the store the other day. He was sitting in the back of the cart because he wouldn’t sit in the front. He was mad at me because I was making him sit down. I had a glass bottle of Frappaccino in the cart and threw it out and it busted all over the floor. I swear to you that everyone in the store stopped what they were doing and stared at me. Even the cashiers. I had no way of cleaning it up, how am I supposed to clean up glass and frappaccino? It was humiliating! I’m telling you I was mortified.
And why do they have to put that candy right there? My son sees it and wants it and it just starts a fight, bull crap.
LOL…My son ate dirt once and got worms. It doesn’t mean you are a bad mother, It just meas they are faster than you 🙂
I just love that you’re getting to experience it… LOL! They are such a blessing, but change your life and your way of thinking SO much!
The irritated woman at Walmart probably has no children – so she just doesn’t get it! 🙂
It’s so hard shopping with kids in tow! One of our groceries has a couple of “family friendly” aisles. There are no candy, gum, or goody displays to entice the kids. I love them when we have a grandson with us! Maybe it’s time for Moms to start asking for these!
