As you may know my nephew (although I consider him a little brother – we’re only 5 years apart), went to Parris Island to become a MARNIE in October. We didn’t get to see him on Halloween, Thanksgiving, Christmas, or even his birthday, but he’s finally home now!!!
He seems like a whole different person. He’s so much more grown up! And had a nice tan!
We celebrated with family and cake!
I know he’s happy to be home visiting family, riding his bike, and playing guitar!
Above is a picture of the eagle globe and anchor they handed him when he officially became a MARINE!
His dress blues – more pictures to come later…
The last picture is his Riffle Expert award badge that he received after completing the weapons qualification course. He was only 6pts from being first place over his entire platoon!

thank him from us for his service.
There’s just something about a spitshined set of buttons that makes me go weak at the knees.. might be the reason that I married my Army Man, lol.
Who did that cake? It’s so awesome, it would have made my Marine Grandfather proud!
My sister-in-laws aunt made the cake! She did a great job! It was so yummy! Now I need her to make a 1st Birthday Cake for Haley!
