I participated in a campaign on behalf of Mom Central Consulting (#MC) for Pull-Ups. I received product samples to facilitate my review and a promotional item as a thank you for participating.
This mama right here is about to be diaper-free! Yep, cue the confetti and the giant cake!
Well we’re not completely out of the diapers just yet (hold the parade) however I am now officially a Pull-Ups® First Flush Ambassador and I’ll be sharing some posts about our potty training journey with Haley!
Natalie was my difficult child. She’s very strong-willed. It seemed like every time I thought we were done with potty training, there we were back at square one.
I tried many different methods with Natalie. The treat method worked well at first but she was very disappointed when she didn’t go potty and didn’t receive a reward.
Then I tried the timer method, but again, my stubborn little girl would usually drop to the floor and REFUSE to go anywhere near the potty when asked to go. Typically she would rather pee in her Pull Ups than sit on any potty.
So I patiently waited for her to become comfortable with doing it on her own.
Haley was quite the opposite. She’s always been very interested in keeping up with her big sister. She picked potty training up quickly and is very local about having to go. We are using the treat method with her since candy is her favorite thing!
Haley was always my “good” baby. She hardly ever cried, she ate like a champ, she slept through the night when she was 3 months old… why would potty training be any different?!
I’ll be sharing some of my own tips and some new resources from the Big Kid Academy at Pull-Ups.com or on Twitter and Facebook.
But first, check out this video from 2012 where Natalie gets a call from Cinderella. My babies were so tiny!
Your big kid can get a character phone call or video chat too by visiting the Pull-Ups website.

I had major struggles with my younger son and he was almost 4 by the time we were officially potty trained completely. Pull Ups were a life saver.
I’ve been lucky with all four of my kids and potty training…Day potty training, that is. Two of my kids night trained at the same time at day training, but the other two had a harder time. My youngest is one of those, and even at 3 he still isn’t night trained. I can’t wait to be diaper free, but for now the overnight Pull-Ups keep his bed dry through the night without making him feel like a “baby” in regular diapers (plus, what little boy doesn’t want Sully, Mike, and Buzz on their bums?)! 🙂
Good luck to you and your little one! 🙂
My 4 year old isn’t night trained just yet! She can make it through naps but she hasn’t completely mastered nighttime.Haley is almost 3 and pees on the potty well but she still wears diapers during nap time.
Congratulations! I cant wait to hear more, we will be there in about a year or so!
She looks equally as excited to get the call as she did when you were filming her 🙂 We’re allllmost done potty training. As soon as we can get #2 finalized, we’ll be good!
We’re working on #2 with Haley too! She’s really good about peeing on the potty but she grabs a Pull Up and always poops in it! We’re close though!
Potty training my daughter was a hair raising experience. I thought for a long time that I’d never have to do it again and was so thankful. Then, suddenly, these twin boys showed up! LOL Now I’m dreading the idea of going through potty training again. I hear boys are harder than girls…
Haha well maybe the twins will help train each other! Potty training the second time around was MUCH easier for me!
Nice that you can make potty training a positive experience. Some parents are to tough on kids and push them before their bodies are ready.
Congratulations on being “Almost” diaper free!! I know that’s a huge relief for all parents!
These are such fun pictures! We adopted all of our kids when they were older, so we never had to worry about PullUps.
I do not miss potty training days. My daughter (first born and only daughter) was super easy to polity train. My boys? The second born, eldest boy didn’t train til 4 yrs 3 mos. UGH. The youngest was similar to his sister, by age 2 or 3 he was out of pull ups finally! What fun campaign this is you are participating in, Pull Ups are the best!
Oh potty-training – that was a tough one for us! Our daughter was so strong willed and just refused to do it earlier than she did, although she was perfectly able to. Seems so long ago now, she’ll be 18 in April!
YAY for no more diapers! I love her little tutu too!
No more diapers is a huge events – we always celerabted! Congrats!
Congrats on the ambassadorship! That’s a fun one. Potty training is my least favorite part of parenting
My youngest just turned two, so we’re about to head down the potty training road with ya. My older son was SO easy. We went to the beach one summer when he was 2 1/2, and he wanted to be like his 5-year old niece, so he just sort of trained. When we got home from the beach that year, he was trained. I’m waiting to see if my little one is going to be that interested. Don’t think so as of now..
ugh, I am dealing with potty training troubles as I type. My son is content with diapers but he is getting close to three and in the largest size, so he is about to have no choice. He has almost got the daytime peepee down but that’s It!
I can barely remember the potty training days. Mine will be 17 in April! Congrats on being almost diaper free!
So cute!! My son is going to be Potty Training as well…not really looking forward to it..at all!
Good luck finishing off your potty training endeavor. Pull Ups made a world of difference in ours.
I always completely dread potty training! My youngest is 15 months, so I’ll be there again soon.
Hang tight! Before you know it, she’ll be potty trained… I love the pictures of your happy kids. Bravo!
I know they say boys are slower, but wished mine would hurry up and potty train at night- I could use that $20 on something else!!! Your little ones are adorable.
