I’ve always been a fan of the bento lunches. My oldest just started pre-k this year and they provide breakfast and lunch, so in the meantime, I’m practicing my bento lunch box skills with creative after school snacks.
Both of my girls can be picky eaters, but they will eat just about anything if you present it to them in a fun way.
California Ripe Olives are kid-friendly and the perfect option for creating tasty and creative food art for the back to school season.
If you don’t have fancy sandwich cutters (I don’t), you can use metal cans or glass cups to cut the bread into shapes. I did use a heart-shaped cutter for two of these snacks.

These are so cute!! I love bento boxes too. My 10 year old uses them every day for her lunches. I love these ideas and I’m sure she will like them in her lunch. Stopping by from the SITs Sharefest!
How adorable! My kids would get a kick out of those.
What fabulous lunch ideas! I love that you can use everyday items to make these cute shapes!
Olives on the fingers- I did that all the time when I was little!
Cute!
I just hand my kids a Fruit Rollup and call it a today.
Or sometimes I cut up an apple.
This may sound dense, but how do you keep all of the parts of the face stuck in place?
The faces aren’t stuck down. They are just sitting there which works fine since I’m not traveling anywhere with them. If you wanted to stick them down you could try something sticky like peanut butter or nutella to hold them in place!
Awesome lunch ideas. I love the Owl. My kids would love these lunches.
Isn’t that cute? I’m sure kids will enjoy eating their if you prepared it that way. It will look more appealing to them.
Thanks for sharing! Wonderful and fun ideas for my little ones!
